    • 2009-2010 Lodge Reservations - 2009-10-22 13:18:29 -

Hard to believe its that time of year again - time for the first round of reservations for the Lodge.

Reservations for 12/3 through 1/3 will be taken starting November 1st at 12:00am.

      • - Reservations will be processed to maximize occupancy at the Lodge in a first come first serve basis.
      • - Email will continue to be my preferred method for reservations.
      • - Please note if your email is received prior to 12:00am you will be moved to the end of the list
      • - Please also note that emailing one copy of your request is enough - if I get more than two requests with the same information your priority will be lowered

      A couple of notes:

      • - Open House 12/4-6 - reduced rate for members and guests
      • - 12/11-13 - reduced rate for members and guests
      • - 12/18-19 - reducted rates for members and guests
      • - Check out the calendar for available dates - any long weekends that I know about the house being open are already posted.

I don’t believe any of the 19 Craigmeurites left the Rock Gym without a sense of personal accomplishment yesterday evening (as well as aching muscles).  We had several members in attendance that had zero climbing experience – most have a hard time taking three steps on a ladder to change a light-bulb.  Thanks largely to the instruction, encouragement and patience of the Rock Gym’s Belay Staff they were reaching the top of 20 foot walls on the easier routes their first or second attempts and quickly moved to attempting more difficult climbs with success.  Main topics of conversation at a local watering hole afterwards were ‘when to visit again’ and ‘stretching goals to attempt more difficult climbs’.  Between the hired Belay Staff and several members are certified there was never a wait to get on a rope and climb.  The only time people were not climbing was they decided to rest.  Ken – Thanks for this suggestions and all the organizing that goes along with it.

Stay tuned for some great pics and videos…
