Well last Saturday ended the Craigmeur Ski Club race season, unfortunately all good things must come to an end. The Stanley Sharaga Memorial President Race was held at Hunter, the weather was sunny & mild and conditions were carveable. The crowds were small for a typical Saturday @ Hunter MT., yet it took some of us sometime to adjust to the Hunter MT skiing style, which is 4 people turning on the same small bump elbow to elbow.

Individually the team had a strong showing; Chuck was able to stay up on his skis and finally beating Mike during the day but caused him to move in the “A” division. Mike placed 2nd in the “B” division and some thought he calculated exactly what he need to move down to the “B” division, so he could receive some hardware. Larry was Larry and pulled up the rear but his picture looked sharp. Maryanne placed 6th in the “B” division and finally beat her daughter, some people felt it was the week of secret training @ Vail, CO. Ally placed a respectable 12th in the “B” division, some us know she actually let mom win because she need to borrow her dress shoes the next day. Overall the team held its own by placing 6th and already people are gearing up for next years race on March 22, 2008.
I like to thank everybody who participated in the races throughout the 2007 race season.
