This past February the Craigmeur Women’s race team took first place in the NJSC State race @ Pico, VT. When we had the NJSC award banquet on April 29, I was expecting to receive the usual plaque but too much of my surprise they won the annual sliver cup award. The annual sliver cup award has be given to the 1st place women’s team for the past 50 plus years and this was the first time Craigmeur has ever won the award.
So on May 5th club spring banquet, I presented the women’s race team of Anneliese  Yombor, Dawn Mazzanti, Kim Hollister and Eleanor Young with “the Cup†and display to the membership the unveiling of the ‘Craigmeur Ski Club†name on “the Cupâ€. The cup will make its rounds to each individual racers home then it will be on displayed in the lodge until next April. So the next time you are at the lodge feel free to pour a beer into “the Cup†and have a victory drink for the women.
