We are currently taking reservations for all of January and February.  Open nights and weekends are noted on the calendar above.  If you want to go on a full weekend let me know and I can place you on the waitlist.

One note to all Lodge guests:  We are reminding guests that there is no food or drinking (except water) in any of the bedrooms.  Parents please remind your children about this rule.  Thanks - we don't need any extra furry guests this winter :-)

June 9, 2007, 9:00 AM Sharp: 3rd Annual Craigmeur Ski Club Bike Ride on the Columbia Trail (Rails to Trail). Rain or Shine! Back by popular demand!

Please join us for a bike ride on this beautiful scenic trail that starts in High Bridge, NJ. The trail is an old railroad path that has been converted into a pedestrian and bike trail. The trail is flat, hard packed fine white gravel and suitable for beginner to advance bike riders. It is recommended that you use a mountain or hybrid bike, although racing bikes can easily navigate the first half of the trail. Friends of Craigmeur Ski Club are welcome to join us. The trail is free! After the trip we will meet at the “Circa” (for food and refreshments). You may visit their web site at http://www.circa-restaurant.com- I have made arrangements for the restaurant to reserve at least two tables for us. Please mention you are with the Craigmeur Ski Club when you enter their premises.

Please click here if you would like to learn more about this easy to bike trail.

Most people will want to do at least 8 miles of this round trip since it is the most scenic part of the trail. This part goes from Highbridge to Califon’s Old train station and then back. The more adventurous or advanced riders can do 16 miles round trip. The 16 mile route will be chosen based on weather conditions.

The trail is easy to get to by car. You can get there from Chester via Rt 24 or by Route 80 in the Netcong area. Here are directions.

Columbia Trail driving directions:
Take Rt. 80 to 206 South to Rt. 24 (Chester). Turn right onto take Rt. 24 West. Turn SLIGHT RIGHT onto NJ-24/CR-513/E MILL RD. Continue to follow CR-513. Turn RIGHT onto CR-513/CHURCH ST. Continue to follow CR-513 to Main Street. Afterwards, you will make a quick right into the municipal parking lot where we will meet. The Columbia Trail is across the street from the parking lot. Circa Restaurant is less than a block away from the parking lot and is an easy walk.

Please give yourself ample driving time to reach High Bridge. From Chester NJ, High Bridge is less than a half-hour driving time.

You may contact me via email (preferred) or via cell 973-713-9169 if you have any questions.

I will be at the following club meetings at The Exchange Restaurant, Rockaway, Nj to answer questions: 4/18,5/2,5/16,6/6

Recommend items: Water, Extra clean shirt and a towel to wipe off dust and grime, if any, before entering the restaurant.
