Attached is a preview of a chart of airline surcharges for luggage that will appear in the January-February issue of The National Ski Club Newsletter. This chart was compiled in mid October so we suggest that your trip chairpersons check the airline web site a coupleof days before departure for last-minute changes in policy, then print out the airline’s policy to show check-in personnel in case they didn’t get the information in a timely manner. Most Airlines still count a ski bag and boot bag as 1 item of luggage, but confirm with the airline before departure.    Happy Travels. Thanks Craig for getting this accompanying chart into this post.      Roy

One Response to “Airline Luggage Info…”

A way to save on ski bag charges may be to combine two sets of skis in one bag. We just flew on Delta and they charged us $25 for the double bag. Better than being charged $25 each for two single bags. Our double bag weighed 45 pounds. Make sure your double bag is within the weight limit.
