Hard to believe its that time of year again - time for the first round of reservations for the Lodge.

Reservations for 12/3 through 1/3 will be taken starting November 1st at 12:00am.

      • - Reservations will be processed to maximize occupancy at the Lodge in a first come first serve basis.
      • - Email will continue to be my preferred method for reservations.
      • - Please note if your email is received prior to 12:00am you will be moved to the end of the list
      • - Please also note that emailing one copy of your request is enough - if I get more than two requests with the same information your priority will be lowered

      A couple of notes:

As we roll into March it means one thing; its time for Craigmeur Ski Club’s annual club race. The race was held March 7 @Pico and the weather Gods gave us a fabulous day with 40 degree temperatures and sunny skies. The course was set on Lower Pike and we had 57 racers comprised of 29 adults & 28 children.

The race started with the kiddies setting the pace and getting the course ready for the adults. As the adults were waiting for there crack at the course; you could tell this was more then just a fun club race. Jackets & fleeces were starting to come off; no race suits on this day but there was some talk about possible purchasing one for next years race. A few were waxing there ski’s in hope of shaving a few tenths or possible seconds off there run. Some were talking about how they trained with Karen Blaine on Tuesday nights to give them an edge and one racer bought new skis just for the racer. All in all the race was finished without any major injuries and everybody had fun!

We completed the day back at the lodge with our award ceremonies. The children awards were presented first and we had many happy faces. The adults followed the kids and back by popular demand were the adult prizes. The winners were also generous in sharing there prizes with the common folks.

Many thanks to all the volunteers that made it happen; for Roy taking charge of lift tickets & race setup, Dia Mon Catering for supplying a delicious lunch of burgers, dogs, wings, snacks and a course the beverages! Also thanks to Glen, Bob, Christine and many others who volunteer and made it all possible.

So see you next year and remember if you want to move up in the standings or beat that somebody then practice, practice practice!
