• 4.6 miles to left at light onto 94 south
• 0.2 miles to right sat light and quick left into town
• 0.1 miles to stop sign – right then quick left onto 602 west
• 7 miles to right at Millbrook Village
• 1.4 miles to right at sign for Blue Mtn Lakes
• 1.3 miles to parking area on left 

Summer is right around the corner and so is the 5^th annual Craigmeur camping / river trip on the Delaware river! With all the fun had on the past years, this trip is sure to be a blast. We will be camping at the Kittatiny facility on route 97 in NY Friday, July 16 through Sunday, July 18, and a short walk across the road to Landers Rafting on Saturday morning July 17 for an awesome day rafting, canoeing, and kayaking or anything else you want to use that floats-your-boat down the river. Oliver and Diane have offered up their services of Diamon Catering again for a Friday night pasta dinner, Saturday BBQ after we get off the water, and Sunday morning breakfast.

The planned trip is from the Mini Sink launch to Pond Eddy (approx 8 miles) with the option of staying on the water for an addition 8 miles to Nights Eddy for those that want to get the extra time on the river. A few members will be bringing trucks to shuttle any personal boats being used on that day and Landers will be shuttling all of our members and friends back up to the starting point. From there we’ll all enjoy another great BBQ and the bon fire to follow (bigger is better!)

We got all the rain out of the way on last years trip so we are hoping “Craigstock” stays dry this year, but it is a rain or shine event and we will have our good times as usual either way! Coming up for just Saturday on the water is an option also. Bring your water guns and we’ll see ya there!

Costs are expected to be similar to past years at: $30.00 for camping, $30.00 for rafting, and $25.00 for all three meals. Details, actual prices, and registration forms to follow. Comments / questions can go to Lee Desantis.

We ALL had fun and some had just a little “TOO” much fun!  Despite the wet weather we rode and made it home safe and sound.  Thanks to all who participated!

All but two that biked joined us for lunch at Casa Maya where we enjoyed burritos, enchiladas, and other tasty Mexican dishes.

Chris Budd is organizing a family friendly trip to

Town of Park City Utah, March 05-12, 2011.

Youth and teens as well as adults are encouraged to partake in this trip.

A general summary of the planned trip is as follows:
Air travel from Newark, NJ to Salt Lake City Utah Saturday March 05, 2011 and return on Saturday March 12, 2011.
Ground transfer from Salt Lake City airport to Town of Park City Utah lodging facility via motor coach or shuttle service and return transfer on day of departure.  Condo lodging in Town of Park City on or near free shuttle route or resort. Accommodations for 4 to 6 people per condo, kitchens and everyone will have a bed. Access to a conference or meeting room to use an activity room for youth participating in the trip is being planned.  Five of six days interchangable resort lift ticket – 2 at Park City Resort, 2 at The Canyons Resort, 1 at Deer Valley Resort.  Cost for airfare, transfers, lodging and lift tickets will be included in the package price. Estimated prices are between $1400 to $1600 per person.

Bike Philly 8AM at Art Museum and stay-over night before (Sept. 11th) at Philadelphia Hostel.

Saturday, June 5, 2010, 9:00am: 6th Annual Craigmeur Ski Club Bike Ride on the Columbia Trail (Rails to Trail). Rain or Shine!  Pedal push off 9:15am Sharp ish

Please join us for a bike ride on this beautiful scenic trail that starts in High Bridge, NJ. The trail is an old railroad path that has been converted into a pedestrian and bike trail. The trail is flat, hard packed fine white gravel and suitable for beginner to advance bike riders. It is recommended that you use a mountain or hybrid bike, although racing bikes can easily navigate the first half of the trail. Friends of Craigmeur Ski Club are welcome to join us. The trail is free! After the trip we will meet at Casa Maya Mexican Resturant in High Bridge for food and refreshments.  It is a BYOB so plan accordingly.

Most people will want to do at least 12~14 miles of this round trip since it is the most scenic part of the trail. This part goes from Highbridge to Califon’s Old train station and then back. The more adventurous or advanced riders can do 16 miles round trip. The 16 mile route will be chosen based on weather conditions.

The trail is easy to get to by car. You can get there from Chester via Rt 24 or by Route 80 in the Netcong area. Here are directions.

Columbia Trail driving directions:

• Take Rt. 80 to 206 South to Rt. 24 (Chester).
• Turn right onto take Rt. 24 West.
•  Turn SLIGHT RIGHT onto NJ-24/CR-513/E MILL RD.
•  Continue to follow CR-513.
• Turn RIGHT onto CR-513/CHURCH ST.
• Continue to follow CR-513 to Main Street.
•  Afterwards, you will make a quick right into the municipal parking lot where we will meet.

Or, if you have a GPS use address 69 Van Sycle Place, High Bridge NJ – it’ll bring you right to the lot.

 The Columbia Trail is across the street from the parking lot. The Restaurant is a block away from the parking lot and is an easy walk. 

Please give yourself ample driving time to reach High Bridge. From Chester NJ, High Bridge is about a half-hour driving time.
