Posted by Mike Rachmiel on March 18th, 2015

This past Saturday March 14, 2015 we had Craigmeur Ski Club’s annual club race at Bromley, VT, we had 57 racers. The weather was 32 degrees, soft snow, but foggy with light rain. The event took less than two hours and no T-bar issues like years past. After the race we had a barbeque in the afternoon at the lodge and the festivities  went late into the evening. Especially thanks for  to the barbeque committee for a job well done.

Note: We have plenty of action shots and videos for the web page that will be posted shortly.

Well in this reporters opinion, everybody enjoyed the race, barbeque and had fun. So remember you have 365 days to get ready for the 2016 race.

This past Saturday March 8, 2014 we had Craigmeur Ski Club’s annual club race at Bromley, VT, we had 72 racers which is a new club record. The weather was Sunny, 35 degrees and plenty of snow. As members were waiting to bash the gates, we had a few snow ball fights, a few made a snowman or two, some were waxing & sharping and some came to the event with newly purchased ski’s to give them that extra edge in the gates. The event took less than two hours, the new photographer took plenty of action shots, the pictures will be available for copying at future meetings, all the competitors seem to walk away with the feeling that they gave their all and other then a T-bar issue by the mountain near the end it was a great day.

Well in this reports opinion, everybody enjoyed the race, barbeque and fun. So remember you have 365 days to get ready for the 2015 race.

This past Saturday March 9 we had our annual club race at Bromley Mt in Vermont and the weather was fabulous, blue skies and 40 degree temp’s. We had 55 racers in all with only 15 young racers, some were stripping down to gain an extra advantage others to cool down as the sun was strong & warm , others waxing up the boards to save a few hundredth of a second and some removing their gadgets to lighten their load. Most  survived the T-bar lift before it broken down at the end and only Chris Budd Sr. missed his final run.   All in all it was beautiful day to have a race and enjoy some skiing  with a fellow members. A very special thanks to Roy Spierer for hanging in the middle of the course and take many photos of us for almost 2 hours.

The hillbilly barbeque in the lodge parking in the late afternoon after a hard day of ski was great. The porch had tables lined with all sorts of food, chips, salads, chilly, wings , mac & cheese,  sausage &peppers  and a course plenty to drink with beer, soda and water.
