Hard to believe its that time of year again - time for the first round of reservations for the Lodge.
Reservations for 12/3 through 1/3 will be taken starting November 1st at 12:00am.
A couple of notes:
The Lodge will be open Oct 9th through 11th. $12/night members, $20/night guests, $7/night kids 3-12

- #Mike found 2 pairs of water shoes on the camping trip. He found them in the middle of the parking area. They are a women's purple and black size 7 and a yellow and black men's 10.

- #We finally had our first race last night @ Mt. Creek. The course was bumpy and soft but no snow guns blasting while we were racing. The Craigmeur team was 3 strong, made of Chuck, Louie and Mike. Congrats to Louie on his first real race and finishing both runs with a good showing. Chuck results were not as favorable as his new Rossignol world cup ski’s let him down.

The club was very fortunate to have a most informative lecture provided by Phil Uhler of the National Ski Patrol. Phil is a patroller at Hidden Valley and is also the Chairperson of the Safety Committee for the New Jersey Ski Council. Phil spoke about the role of the ski patrol on the hill as well as what it takes to become a member of the ski patrol. He was able to look back on may experiences from the very serious to the funny pranks that anyone may try on the slopes.
Phil gave all of us a compliment and a pat on the back by stating that “most of our members would not have a problem in becoming members of the National Ski Patrol”. He also gave out contact forms for members to fill out if interested in joining the ski patrol. Yes, I did and am very interested in joining the ski patrol. The evening was topped off by many give aways such as Mountain Creek Lift tickets donated by The Exchange. Remember, as Phil Uhler says: practice safe skiing. Roy
Now that we are a week into the new year, I figured an update was due to describe the events that happened at the lodge. It is always a joyous occaision bringing in the new year and then hitting the slopes. There were many activities happening for both kids and adults. The new rave at the lodge is the board game “Sequence”. A game of strategy. Watch out Jenga, you have met your match. The new years celebration was topped off by the beauty of the Rockets and Red Glare, a fireworks display put on by our own David Kowzun. People went off to ski in all different directions: Sugarbush, Okemo, Killington, Pico and Stratton were all skied. So lets bring on the new year and let it snow.
