Yankee Stadium Tour - recap

Posted by Craig DeSantis on June 19th, 2008

Thanks to Roy for organizing this day. 39 members and friends came to see historical parts of the ‘House that Ruth Built’ before its dismantling after this final season. The players have some of the best seats in the house - the dugout - believe it or not - they’re air-conditioned (and heated on cooler days). Something to think about the next time your sitting the sweaty or freezing fan seats.

We tried, but, were unable to stump our tour guide, Roy’s daughter. We all enjoyed one of 8 or 9 lunch choices at the Yankee Tavern from burgers to dogs to chicken.

See you next year at the new stadium???

4th Annual High Bridge Bike Ride - Recap

Posted by Craig DeSantis on June 16th, 2008

Well folks - this was a hot one! By the completion of the ride the temp neared 90. Over 20 members and participants endured the heat and rode this year. Fortunately most of the ride pasted thru wooded, well shaded areas. All but a few opted for the extended ride past the Califon rail station onto the dirt road back to High Bridge. As anticipated - the Circa restaurant served a great lunch.

Stayed tuned for photos and video…

See you next year…
