Hello All –
Be sure to make the most of your 2017 / 2018 MAX Pass because next season it is GOING AWAY.
According to this web site – www.ikonpass.com/en/faq – the MAX Pass is being replaced in 2018 / 2019 by the IKON Pass.
Further investigation of the web site yielded few details other than indicating several combination season passes are being replaced in 2018 / 2019 by the IKON Pass.
I recommend everyone monitor – www.ikonpass.com/en – for additional information as it becomes available.
It appears NJSSC vouchers have received a reprieve for another season.

Kindly shared by Maryanna Mecca via Theresa Ross :
I always wanted to volunteer at the Special Olympics at Mountain Creek. My Aunt Ilona had done it for years. So did two of Craigmeur Ski Club’s finest: Roy and Eric. This year Theresa and I signed up. It was everything I had expected, and one mystifyingly fantastic thing more. We all share the love of skiing. And some of these athletes are good, really good. I actually considered recruiting a few for the Craigmeur race team. My big WOW was surprisingly not about the the athletes or the volunteers. It was about the behind the scenes instructors who took the time to teach, work with, and train the athletes to move through the gates with so much confidence and grace. Take it from me, skiing is a lifelong learning sport. It does not come overnight. So OK, kudos to the athletes and the volunteers. But double, triple, quadruple kudos to all those very wonderful people wherever you are who took the time to share your love of skiing and your racing knowledge with these Special Olympic athletes. Thanks so much for teaching them something that is so much fun, and in essence, for bringing us all closer together. And finally, thanks so much for giving me the opportunity to share that universal chairlift experience with people I would not have ordinarily met: Chit Chat… “What’s your name, where are you from…and hey isn’t it a beautiful day today.”
Hello Craigmeur Members –
Here we are on the cusp of the first weekend in April and Spring is pushing into New Jersey with winter battling back every inch of the way. Snow showers are forecast for several days this week just to keep us in a spring skiing frame of mind. Like Tuesday – snowed most of the day here in Rockaway !
And spring skiing is going gang busters in Vermont with many resorts still operating with near 100% open terrain and some resorts turning lifts until 5pm on weekends. Monitor your favorite Vermont resorts’ web site for trail information & operating status.
Head north and use those NJSSC vouchers you’ve been holding since December 2014, the skiing doesn’t get much better this time of year. Or bring your vouchers to any club meeting and sell them to a fellow member who will ski them.
Should you end your ski season with vouchers for exchange, make sure to turn them in to Chris Budd at any club meeting ON / BEFORE Wednesday 29 April 2015 to ensure you receive a credit towards next season’s voucher purchase.
VOUCHERS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED ANYWHERE OTHER THAN CLUB MEETINGS UNTIL WEDNESDAY 29 APRIL 2015
Only NJSSC vouchers are eligible for upgrade; not resort issued exchange vouchers, not pre-purchased resort lift tickets, not Ski VT vouchers.
Should you miss to 29 April cut-off, consider your vouchers souvenirs & treat them as such.
SKI OFTEN & SKI HARD !!

THINK SNOW !!
Hello Craigmeur Members –
Well, Mother Nature has not been kind to winter sports enthusiasts this season, has she ? With limited snow fall in the Northeast and unseasonably warm weather, alpine sports have certainly suffered.
Upon review of lift ticket voucher purchases for the 2011-2012 season, Craigmeur Ski Club members have purchased approx. $35k of lift tickets. Someone is getting out on the slopes this season. Or optimistically holding out for that one big snow storm !
Resorts will soon begin seasonal discounts and lift ticket deals. At this time, Craigmeur has suspended further NJSC lift ticket voucher purchases due to the anticipated high quantity of lift ticket vouchers currently being held by club members.
If you are holding ANY lift ticket vouchers that you will not use by the end of March 2012, I strongly urge you to bring your vouchers to any / all regular club meetings and sell them to a club member who will use them.
Do not forget that many resorts have return limits, usually 10-15% of total purchases, and that the overages on returns get allocated across ALL members that returned vouchers for each resort. Overages the last few years have resulted in up-grade charges of as much as $45 per voucher !
Please maximize your fun and minimize your up-grade costs by using or selling your vouchers soon.
Thanks !
Chris Budd
