Tuxedo Ridge “REAL Mountain, REAL People, REAL Close”

27 Feb

This week’s guest speakers were Jim Mezzetti, Owner and Stephanie Cole, Director of Marketing for Tuxedo Ridge Ski Area located  in very close Tuxedo New York. Jim and Stephanie were able to clue us in on the improvements (present and future) for this local area. From their successful Monday night racing program to the plans for the warmer months with paintball and possible Zip Line gliding. Whatever they have planned, it is a REAL Mountain with REAL People and it is REAL close. Happy Skiing, Roy

This past weekend was the 2008 NJSC State race @ Pico, VT. The conditions were tougher then usually as the winds were gusting to 40 mph and the race hill was icy hard pack. The team was 21 strong with 8 women & 13 men filling out the team. The team place 3rd combined, 4th place finish for the men & women’s “A” team and 8th place for the men & women’s “B” team. Congrats to Anneliese on her 1st place finish, to Chris on his 2nd place finish, on JoEllen coming out of retirement and to Kim D., Diane, Cheryl, Louie, Ken, Oliver and Eric in completing in your first state race, now you’ll be no longer consider rookies in the club race. Finally to the king of trashing talking “Craig”, since you blew out of the SL course, maybe you should try your snowboard in the club race. This past weekend was also the 1st ever NJSC Jr. State race @ Pico, VT. Craigmeur had 10 junior racers compete, with each competitor taking two runs on the GS race course. Congrats to Genevieve on her 3rd place finish, to Alexander on his 3rd place finish, Juliana on her 2nd place finish and to Krytina, Laurie, Christy, Matt, Jason, Randy, Eric on coming out to race. 2008-jr-state-race-results.pdf 2008-njsc-state-race-results.pdf
